Step 2. TAKE MEASUREMENTS

NECK
Wrap the tape around the lower part of the neck.
The tape should hug the neck without being too tight.
SHOULDER
Place the tape on the left shoulder, at the sleeve seam.
Measure up and over the curve of the shoulders to the seam on the right sleeve.
APEX TO APEX
Place the tape at the right nipple and measure across to the left nipple.
The person being measured may need to help the measurer by pointing out the location of the nipples.
SHOULDER OPENING
Wrap the tape around the armpit, keeping the tape vertical.
The tape should hug the shoulder without being too tight.
BUST
Wrap the tape around the fullest part of the bust. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground.
The tape should hug the bust without being too tight.
WAIST
Wrap the tape around the narrowest part of the waist. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground.
To find the waist, bend to the side – the waist is the point where the body bends. It is also usually at the elbow crease.
HIPS
Wrap the tape around the widest part of the hips. Make sure the tape is parallel to the ground.
The tape should hug the hips without being too tight.
SHOULDER TO BUST
Measure from the shoulder seam on the shirt to the nipple.
Make sure the tape is perpendicular to the ground.
SHOULDER TO WAIST
Measure from the shoulder seam on the shirt to the waist. The waist is usually at the elbow crease.
Make sure the tape is perpendicular to the ground.
WAIST TO HIPS
Measure from the waist to the fullest part of the hips. The waist is usually at the elbow crease.
Make sure the tape is perpendicular to the ground.
PICTURES OF YOU
